Electronics mechanic is an electronics things repairing vocational trade. During the course, students are taught about topics like electronic equipment, specializing in repair and maintenance procedures: analyzing a machine such as a computer, determining all of its problems and preparing it to be worked on by a specialist electronics repairman.

  • First year

   Safety aspects

   Practise soldering and de-soldering

Testing of power electronic equipments

Test of opto electronic devices, SMD soldering

Identify different IC’s, LED’s, LED displays and interface it with computers

  • Second year

Familiarisation and interfacing of different microcontrollers.

Modulation/Demodulation circuits

Install and troubleshoot solar panel system.

Design a LED light for the given ratings. Assemble decorative lighting system (serial lights) using LED strips. Dismantle, assemble, trouble shoot and rectify LED and LCD TV sets.

  • Students are able to :
  • Read & interpret technical parameters/documentation, plan and organize work processes, identify necessary materials and tools
  • Perform work with due consideration to safety rules, accident prevention regulations and environmental protection stipulations
  • Apply professional knowledge, core skills & employability skills while performing the job and repair and maintenance work
  • Check the job with circuit diagrams/components as per drawing of functioning, diagnose and rectify faults in the electronics components/module
  • Document the technical parameters in tabulation sheet related to the work undertaken.

 

  • Progression Pathway

  • Can appear in 10+2 examination through National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) for acquiring higher secondary certificate and can go further for General/ Technical education.
  • Can take admission in diploma course in notified branches of Engineering by lateral entry
  • Can join as semi-skilled worker in the industry and can become supervisor after doing part-time diploma in relevant branch of Engineering after which they will be employed in construction industry as skilled worker and can become supervisor after doing part-time diploma in relevant branch of Engineering
  • Can join Apprenticeship programme in different types of industries leading to National Apprenticeship certificate (NAC) after which they will be employed preferably in construction industry as skilled worker and can become supervisor after doing part-time diploma in relevant branch of Engineering
  • Can join Crafts Instructor Training Scheme (CITS) in the trade for becoming instructor in ITIs.
